Virtue and Vice

Vice-Virtue: gluttony is marketed as OK by fast food chains.
Virtue-Vice: Modesty is not reflected in the way most people dress because it is seen as a vice in our culture.

Our culture has taken the vice of swearing and using God's name in vain and turned it into a virtue. Our culture has taken the virtue patience and turned into a vice because everyone is so impatient these days that when they want something they want it right away.

Our culture have made having sex before mariage seem okay to do. While being chaste is no longer the right thing to do or unimportant.

One example would be premarital sex. Our culture has formed an atmosphere that premarital sex is cool thing.
keeping chastity is suppose to be a virtue but, our culture makes it sounds like a vice.

I believe our culture today took chasity as a virtue and turned it into a vice. People don’t save sex for marriage anymore and do it at random age not believing its wrong.

One virtue that I think became a vice would be how in the begging everyone wanted abortions and they thought they were alright to do and thought it wouldn't matter if they were doing such things. But now we all know its wrong, some people still think its the only way out, but why do it if your going to have to make that choice.

One vice that I think has been turned into a virtue is people and they way they dress. Clothes change all the time and depending on what everyone else is wearing people often think that that's a virtue just because everyone else does it when we know inside its wrong.

Our culture has taken the vice of doing drugs and turned it into something that people believe to be good. They think that because they see it in movies and hear about it in songs that it is okay, but really it is going against what God taught us. Our culture has taken the virtue of chastity and turned it into a vice. When people take part in premarital sex they believe it is okay, but sex is truely meant to be saved for the person you marry.

Our culture has taken modesty away from our culture and has formed it into a vice, which was once a virture. The way young teenagers dress & the fashions that are in style do NOT promote modesty. && the way some stores sell inappropriate underware to young girls is not being chase. Many girls do not think this sin is very serious because they dont respect their body.

The virtue chastity almost dosent exist in our world today because sex is now a casual thing. Television and other sources of entertainment are pushing sex before marriage on young people, and if they buy into it they turn the virtue chastity into the vice of lust.

our culture changed commiting adultery as a something not bad but romantic.
there are many people who think 'if i have a sexual realtionship with someone else than
my spouse, it's LOVE not an adultery.' but there are people who also think if other people commit adultery,
it's a sin no matter what reason. it shows how our culture changed the vice into a virtue.
it also shows the people's selfish minds.

Out culture has taken the vice of lust and made it to be something that is not a big deal. They make it seem okay when it really isn't. Things we see on tv and hear on the radio are giving us the wrong impression of how to act.

The vice that has been made by our society is that of chastity in the sence that premaridal sex, or lust, is okay, so chasity is wrong.
Conversely, the virtue that has been made by our society is that of greed, telling us that money is everything we need.

I partially agree with this statement because, if you have enough money, you, your children, and their children can live comfortable lives.

Our culture has taken the vice sloth and made it a virtue. Our culture encourages us to be lazy, not think for ourselves, and to ignorantly follow everyone else. Instead of being lazy, everyone should do whatever they can to promote justice which includes our moral obligation to let people know when they are morally wrong. Justice is one of the most important virtues because it is following our human nature while promoting human dignity.

One vice is premarital sex. They changed it by promoting condom use for all people to prevent from having babies. That's not good because premarital sex isn't good. It deminishes human dignity.

our culture has taken the virture of gratitude and made it into something ruining our society. the vice is envy that i speak of and it involves someone not being grateful for what they have. This sense of unfulfillment is evil and poisons us

our culture has taken gods gift of sex and turned it into almost wat some ppl would say as dirty. god did not intend it to be this way(vice). our culture has also taken premarital sex as being ok, which in all actuallity is against our religion(virture).
